The Pilot's Watch Chronograph 41 Edition "Mercedes-amg Petronas Formula One Team" is the first official team watch developed by iwc as part of the long-standing partnership. Made in Switzerland. The Pilot's Watch Chronograph 41 Edition "Mercedes-amg Petronas Formula One Team" is now the first official team watch developed by iwc. The Pilot's Chronograph, with a diameter of 41 millimeters, is made of lightweight and remarkably strong grade 5 titanium. Titanium offers the best strength-to-density ratio of any metal, and is also used in automotive engineering to make highly stressed parts such as engine valves. In addition, titanium is also biocompatible and highly resistant to corrosion. After machining and sandblasting, the surface retains an attractive grayish glow. A black dial with printing and luminescence in the team's signature green color complement the striking design. The iwc manufacture calibre 69385, a chronograph movement in classic column-wheel construction composed of 231 individual parts, is visible through the sapphire crystal case back. The bilaterally winding pawl winding mechanism builds up a power reserve of 46 hours. The chronograph comes with two straps: a black embossed calfskin strap and a green rubber strap. Thanks to the integrated EasX-change, the bracelets can be quickly and easily replaced at the touch of a button without the need for any additional tools.
